Sit, Stand, Step, Stomp began as a sound piece where I recorded myself repeating the words "Sit, Stand, Step, Stomp" and added effects to obscure the instructions. I performed the work by following my instruction. When the word 'stomp' was spoken, I stomped on the closest piece of clay on the ground, shattering the object, and inviting viewers to engage with the work in the same way.
